In a 5000 m² park, Agnes and Jacques Masquilier welcome you to an ancient farm located in the heart of a hamlet, 5 km from the medieval and historical centre of Blois. Be assured that you will get a warm friendly welcome and will have a pleasant stay. Three ground floor bedrooms surrounded by and with direct access to a flowered and closed yard (car-park).
A fourth room is on the second floor. One room has disabled amenities. A 40 m² bake house is converted into a kitchen. In each room : two double beds and bathroom with shower and/or bath tub and toilets. t is located in a hamlet, Francillon (the green patch on the aerial photo). All the houses in the Hamlet were gabled in the 19th century. In 1905 everyone would look forward to seeing the photograph, the whole village was in a festive mood when it arrived. Nowadays, cars have replaced carriages, but the big chimney of " Le Retour " remains. The inner yard is surrounded by the barns and the master house, for the farmer-landowner who would work with his employees. Every bedroom has two double beds, a bathroom with shower and toilets.
The country nature of this bedroom is obvious, though the stable stalls have been removed. The ceiling beams framework harmonizes with the patchwork bedspreads. This bedroom - as the other ones - was named after a painting by Gaston Fontaine (1907-1999), a family friend. This painter would call himself a poet of flower, images and atmospheres. Two double beds (140 cm). Electric heating.
